I have always been extremely health conscious so I was not too surprised with the information in the videos and in the readings from this week. Knowing that current research has determined that eating fast food even as little as once a week increases the risk of dying from coronary artery disease by 20 percent – and the risk goes up by 50 percent when eaten two to three times weekly – is a truly horrifying statistic.
A good way to help me limit the amount of fast food I eat – although I rarely eat fast food – would be to become aware of what time of day I stop at fast food restaurants. If its during my morning routine, I can explore homemade breakfast options that are appealing to me. If it’s late at night, or when I’m in a rush, I can make sure to have easily accessible snacks that are more healthy.
At the least, I firmly believe that C.E.O.'s shouldn’t the very least make sure accurate nutrition information is readily available to the consumers. That way, if people are making informed decisions, they cannot blame others for their poor decisions. It is important to keep in mind that the CEOs are trying to run a business – although there are some minimum responsibilities that they must have.

Both Agoura Hills and Malibu are very health conscious communities. Since Malibu is on the coast, many residents are heavily involved in sports and activities. I think this shows that the demand for unhealthy food options is at a bare minimum.
