When this course first began, I set health goals for myself and looking back on these goals, I have been successful for the most part but not entirely. I was most successful with my goals of maintaining a healthy sleep schedule and eating well. Unfortunately I was not as successful in fully achieving my goal of time management. I was able to reach my goals first two goals by setting an alarm at 9am every morning and for the most part I got out of bed when my alarm went off. I also kept a daily log of the foods I ate which helped me realize which foods I needed to limit or increase in my diet. For the future, my goals are to exercise 3 times per week and bike or walk to work at least twice a week. Making time to run at the beach will definitely help me stick to my fitness goal because it is an activity that I really enjoy. Saving money on gas will also incentivize me to walk or bike to work as much as possible.
this class has provided me with unique knowledge that I will continue to apply to my life. Although I had several health classes in high school and junior high school, this class elaborated on my previous health-related information and even touched on subjects left completely unexplored by my other classes. My lifestyle has become more healthy both mentally and physically because of this course. One of the most positive effects this course has had on my life is my decision to incorporate a healthier diet into my lifestyle on a daily basis. no more fast food! it is not nutritious nor does it benefit my body in any substantial way. i have been able to successfully cut out eating fast food by always carrying healthy snacks like almonds and fruit with me. overall, this course has been incredibly beneficial to my life and i am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to take it.
